Nassarius snails are a fantastic CUC (clean up crew) member.  Scavenging for detritus this snail resides in the sand until night OR it recognizes a feeding opportunity where they errupt from the sand bed in fine fashion. They are fairly effective at most aquarium sand sifting needs when purchased in proper numbers.   WE SUGGEST 5 snails per square feet of aqaurium foot print.*  this reccomendation is based on an everry other day moderate feeding schedule for the aquaruim.

    SPECIAL NOTE: Nassarius Snails are easy to keep, they spend most of their time deep in the sand bed until night or when a food source is near.


    Natural Ecology: Nassarius snail inhabit sand beds and substrate protected from predetors during the day. They often are found living in and near the base of rock formations.
